  1. The cultural differences between Jews and Palestinians, the division of Jerusalem, and the history of the PLO and wars will influence the creation of a Palestinian state. To begin, the Jewish population of Israel are adherents to Judaism, while Palestinians adhere to Islam. This causes a clash of cultures because of differing perspectives of each religion by the other. Moreover, the Palestinian demand for East Jerusalem will play a pivotal role in the decision because Israel does not want to give up the land, but Palestinians might threaten violence again. Finally, the history between Palestinians and Israel, such as the Balfour Declaration by Britain and the U.N. Partition in 1948 have sided with the Jews to give both land and support, even though it was technically Palestinian land. The historical factors could also play a role in the decision because of rivalry.

  3. The opposing viewpoints that Jews and Palestinians possess over culture and religion is one factor that will affect the proposed creation of a Palestinian state. The most obvious example of this is that the Jews believe primarily in Judaism, while the Palestinians follow mostly Islam beliefs. These opposing viewpoints lead to argument, frustration, and in many unfortunate cases, violence, which challenges the proposed creation of a Palestinian state. Another factor that will affect this is how Palestinians wish to increase their territory by taking land from the Israelis. Israel does not want to give up its land, but they hold onto it with fear that the Palestinians might resort to violence to acquire their desires. A historical factor that could influence the the proposed creation could be the assaults on Jews, and the discrimination that they had to struggle with and overcome. This puts them in a better light with the rest of the world as opposed to the Palestinians, who have also been known in the past to cause several terrorist attacks. If the Jews and the Palestinians become involved in another quarrel, the majority of the world is most likely to side with the Jews.

  4. The most recognizable difference in the two cultures of Jews and Palestinians is the opposing religious views; Jews believe majority in Judaism as for the majority of Palestinians believe in Islam. Because of these highly differing views, many of these groups are led to violence, frustration, and destruction. Another factor of these opposing views is that Palestinians are looking for increase in land, therefore they are willing to fight to win land from the Israelis. Although Israelis do not want to give up there land, many fear that the Palestinians will turn to destructive forces to gain this territory. The two groups past feuds looks to determine the outcome or future of their rivalry.

  5. Clash of religion, argument over land, and history between religions may influence the creation of a Palestinian state. To begin, Jews and Palestinians both practice different religions, which would cause many disagreements. Jews practice Judaism while Palestinians practice Islam. The clash of the different religions could spark violence, which would negatively affect the creation of a Palestinian state. In addition, the Palestinians want to take land from Israel, although Israelis do not want this to happen. However, they feel that they have to because otherwise, the Palestinians will do anything to get what they want, even start a vicious war. Finally, the history between Jews and Palestinians may impair the creation of a Palestinian state. An example of the bad history between the two cultures if the Yom Kippur War, where the Palestinians attacked the Jews on their holiest day of the year.

  6. A major difference between Jews and Palestinians include their religious views. For instance, Jews believe mostly in Judaism, which is the monotheistic religion for Jews. Palestinians, however, believe in mostly the Islam religion. This is the religion of Muslims; it is also a monotheistic religion. The two religions focus on different gods and they each have different aspects for their followers. Since these two religions are so different there has been controversy and conflict between these two forces.

  7. The diverse cultures that separate the Jews and Palestinians, the past choices of the UN, and the already present division of Jerusalem will influence the creation of a Palestinian state. First of all, the Jews believe in Judaism while the Palestinians are Islamic. These contrasting religions often cause a distaste for one another, therefore causing arguments between them. Furthermore, in the past, the UN has sided multiple times with the Jews over geopolitical disputes and have given them power over Palestinian land. Consequently, Israel is afraid that the Palestinians will start a violent rebellion. In summary, the cultural and historical differences between the Jews and Palestinians will impact the creation of a Palestinian state.

  8. The clash between religions and the historical conflicts will influence the creation of a Palestinian state. Jews practice Judaism, a monotheistic religion, while Palestinians practice Islam, also a monotheistic religion. However, although monotheistic, both religions have different principles and different Gods, therefore causing a conflict because each group believes their own religion to be the better of the two. This could cause rebellions of both religions, essentially leading to a sort of civil war. In addition, historical conflicts may influence the creation of a Palestinian state. The Balfour Declaration is an example of this, along with the Yom Kippur War, the war which the Palestinians attacked the Jewish communities in the area on their holiest of holy days.

  9. Cultural and religious differences between the Israelis and the Palestinians, as well as the past history of violence between the two factions and, in the case of the Palestinians, among factions within them will likely influence the creation of a palestinian state. Violent confrontations between the Jewish Israelis and the Islamic Palestinians are not unheard of, and this, combined with differences in ideologies and other obvious factors such as geography will most likely be considered.

  10. Cultural and religions conflicts between Israelis and Palestinians, the differences between them are that Jews, for the most part, believe in Judaism, and Palestinians mainly believe in the religion of Islam. Because of the difference in religion there have been many instances of violence between the two because they can not agree. Also, Palestinians are seeking to expand their land and are not afraid to fight for it. In the end the differences, cultural and historical, between Palestinians and Jews will stop the creation of a Palestinian state.

  11. The culture of the Arabians and the Israelis would make the formation of a Palestinian State in Jerusalem tough. In history, there are plenty of examples where nations are reluctant to give up power. For example, there was a two year struggle for independence when Israel got recognition in the partition plan. If an international agreement would be created, Israel would be very reluctant to give up the land. Also, the Arabs and the Christians have a deep seeded hatred that goes back to the Crusades. Even if the Palestinians and the Israelis found common ground, it would be tough to make a deal since both sides refuse to negotiate and talk. Lastly, the religion is the ultimate cause of the conflicts. Since the religions are different, the two types of people did get along.

  12. The differences in culture and religion between the Jews and Palestinians will influence the proposed creation of a Palestinian State. These differences will likely make it difficult if not impossible for the sides to come to agreement due mostly because of the fact that the Jews are Jewish while the Palestinians are Muslim. For past decades, the Jews have been fighting the Palestinians in wars such as in the 1956, 1967, and 1973 conflicts. These conflicts were all brought on by the differences and animosity produced by both sides. In past agreements to create peace, the treaties were broken only years after by more frustration and anger. These deep lines of hatred towards each other can date back to the settling of the Jews in Palestine when Britain created the Balfour Declaration. From that point forward, the Muslims resented the Jewish religion and people for going against Muslim traditions but also for taking over the Palestinians' land. In sum, it would be very difficult for the creation of a Palestinian state due to the great hatred that rages on both the Jewish and Muslim sides.
